Any one of the three Starter Sets will give you everything needed for two players to start playing immediately. Open a box, read the rules, pick a Hero, and jump right into the action!

Q: Do I need to buy booster packs?

Not at all! Each of the three different Starter Sets is completely playable on their own. Once you've played a few games against your friends, you may want to add booster packs into your collection. Every 12-card pack gives you new ways to personalize your deck to devastate your opponents.

Q: Are the rare cards necessary to win the game?

Nope! There are some powerful rare cards in this game, but many of the rarest cards are specialty collectibles, such as alternate-art cards. You can build a very competitive deck using nothing but common and uncommon cards.
